When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I’m feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don’t feel so bad

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…and my favorite time outside of my own birthday month (yes, I said “month”). I love to hear Christmas music and recently caught myself humming “My Favorite Things.” When I got to the end of the chorus, I smiled because I realized why this song resonates with me so well: it encourages us to meditate on positivity, irrespective of life’s current circumstance. This doesn’t mean to forget about everything, but it’s a reminder to focus on what makes us feel the most encouraged.

Last week we talked about #MOXIE and today’s word is meditation:

To focus one’s thoughts on : reflect on or ponder over

My dear friend, whatever you’re thinking on, do you best to make sure it’s positive and constructive. Watch your thoughts.

    WOW….

Yesterday was my birthday and I am dealing with the issues of losing my Dad on Dec. 19th 2016. It was such a hard birthday and as I read your blog it was truly a blessing! Thank you for being obedient and I pray that God continue to bless you immensely! He said in his Word, Now onto him who is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we can ask for….. AMEN!!

    To God Be The Glory!
